SERVICES
Title
Insurance:
We issue policies of title insurance to owners, lenders,
builders, and others under the rules and on forms prescribed by the Texas Department of Insurance.
We are paid a premium for this service which is set by that Department.
In issuing title policies, we abstract the title, examine the
title, determine if the title is insurable according to the guidelines of our
underwriters, close the transaction, receive and disburse
funds and record the title documents.

Title Searches:
Port Jefferson Abstract and Title Company can provide a certificate of title which is specifically for the customer's own interpretation of title status or
it may be
presented to an attorney for an opinion. Prices for the certificates vary based
upon the following:
(1) The period of time to be included in the search.
(2) Whether or not the search includes the mineral title.
(3) Whether or not the search covers an acreage tract or
subdivision property. (4)
Abstract Services - We have title abstracts
available on surveys throughout Marion County. These
abstracts of title have been indexed and scanned for
quick access. |
